Food Ordering Notes and Best Practices
- Food Orders must be placed by 3:00 A.M. on Order Day (I.E. if food is delivered Tuesday, it needs to be ordered by 3:00 A.M., effectively meaning Monday night at close)
- Add-ons once the order has been placed will have to be called in by 10 A.M., there is a chance they might not take it.
- Suggested order is based on ideal use. Keep track of waste; if you threw it out, you'll need to adjust your margins if you're having a consistent food variance.
- Always factor in items that just expired or are about to expire.
- Keep in mind certain items cannot be used off the truck. Such as dough needing time to proof, or cheese and meats arriving frozen and needing time to thaw.
- Take your time. A good food order will take at least 30 minutes.
- Think of what is happening in the week ahead e.g. bad weather, major sporting event, promotions, and big events.
- Do a quick walk through of your store to make a list of items you may need.

Troubleshooting EFO
- Order Status Shows Adjusted: Go back into the order and look to see if there are any items marked "Item Disallowed" under item status. These items need to be called into Commissary or you may not receive them.
- Entire Order Rejected: Try resending the order through again, if unsuccessful, print the order out and call the order into Commissary. You can also email the order to TXCSR@dominos.com .
Setting Up Margins
Margins are Set Within the EFO Screen
Margins are set as a buffer to ensure that your store does not run out of product between deliveries.
You will find the column that has your margins while in the EFO screen. Click the pencil to make your adjustment for your margin.
