When food comes into or out of our stores, we need to tell pulse that we have done so for inventory purposes. If this step fails to happen, it will look like you have under used, or over used product (respectively), and could wind up costing your store unnecessary money.
Communication is Key
Make sure your store and other stores in your area have a way to communicate when swaps are made, and when they are put into pulse.
Some stores use Food Swap Forms, some stores use a group messaging app like GroupMe. These need to be put in the day of and at both stores.
Types of Food Entries
There are a few Food Entries into Pulse you may encounter within the store. From SCC and Coke deliveries and credits, to Food bought or sold within, or out of our Franchise. Take a look below to learn more about each.

When do I enter Food Swaps?
A best practice for making sure Food Swaps are entered the same day, is to make sure to:
- Put them in while the other store's Team Member is at your store (and take a picture of the swap or fill out a Food Swap Form) if you are selling.
- OR to put in as soon as the product gets into your store (and take a picture of the swap or fill out a Food Swap Form) if you are buying.
How Do I know if a Swap Has or Has Not Been Entered For The Day?
The best way to check if a swap is in Pulse or not, is to look under Back Office Management at your swaps/entries for the day. However, there are a couple red flags you can look for when reviewing inventory at the end of the night.
