Faded Labels
This is caused by CORNMEAL
To STOP This Damage
- Clean the label printer every day, wipe it down with a damp clean cloth, and keep the inside to the printer clean.
- Check the labels for cornmeal before it enters the printer, and if you find some cornmeal on the labels, clean it off.
- Place the printer so the labels are under the overshelf for the cut table, this will prevent the cornmeal from dropping on the labels.

If Your Labels Look Like The Pictures Above
The print heads for the Zebra printer are designed to last 100,000 printed labels, if they are taken are of correctly.
If you have labels that look like the pictures above:
- Open a corrigo work order
- Attach a picture of your labels to the work order.
The IT Department will order replacement print head and replace the worst one first, and work through the rest.
Faded Labels
Labels that look like this are because the printer has been taken care of properly, but has printed 100,000 labels and needs to be replaced.
Calibrating Your Label Printer
- Insure the power light is on and solid green
- Press and hold the feed button until the power light flashes one time, continue to hold the feed button until the power light flashes 2 times, then release the feed button
- The label printer will now calibrate itself and feed out 2 blank lables
- Reprint some labels to verify the printer is working correctly
- If the label printer is working correctly, no other action is needed.
