When you feel a Team Member is ready for a promotion to the next level, there are a few boxes to check before you are able to do so.
Below you will find the Management Promotion Timeline and what is required for each level of promotion.
CSR/Driver To SM
- Good Attitude: Must demonstrate a positive and proactive approach.
- Shows Potential: Exhibits potential leadership skills and behaviors.
- DM Approval: Requires approval from your DM to promote someone to SM.

- The AM Certification process should be initiated within 12 months of promotion to AM to allow sufficient time for learning and adaptation.
- GMs will train their AMs using the A.C.E. (Assistant Certification of Expertise) Checklist.
- Existing AMs will undergo annual recertification to ensure continued proficiency.
- Anyone who is currently an AM will have 1 year from 8/12/2024 to complete their A.C.E. Checklist.
- DMs are responsible for performing these certifications.
AM To GMIT*
*Must be eligible to drive for MAC Pizza (all driving docs must be approved before promotion can be processed)
- A.C.E. Checklist Completion: The most recent A.C.E. Checklist must be available and complete. If not, the DM will need to certify their AM before they can interview for the GMIT position.
- Performance Review: DM must submit the signed A.C.E. Checklist and a Store Leader Performance Review for the AM to their RD.
- Interview with Regional Director (RD): The AM will need to interview with their RD to assess readiness to be a GMIT.

SM and AM New Hire/Rehire Requests:
Can ONLY be requested by the DM, AFTER:
- DM has interviewed AM applicant, AND
- DM has received approval from RD
- DM must submit SM/AM Hire Request thru Hire Request Form (online JotForm). Hire Request Form (SM/AM/CSR/BIK/Other DVR): https://form.jotform.com/230465449303151
- SM/AM Hire Requests submitted by the store will not be accepted.
After HR receives the submitted Hire Request Form:
- Applicable SM or AM Hiring Packet will be set up
- SM/AM Expectations and Agreement will be included in the packet
- SM/AM hiring packets include only Non‐Driving forms (stores can submit Driving Docs after hired, if eligible to drive)
- SM/AM new hires (and Rehires gone > 6 months) will be required to attend NTO class.
Required AM Hours
Required Avg Management Hours per week: 35 Mgmt hours per week (averaged at end of period) These management hours are required to maintain current position and benefits. Measured in rolling 6 periods: • 1 violation - Written Warning • 2 violations - Final Warning • 3 violations - Demotion to Shift Manager
