Microsoft Teams
- Right-click on Teams the logo on your toolbar
- Click Settings
- Go to Accounts
- Click Sign Out
- Close the box by clicking “X” in the top right corner
- Click “Sign out” in the prompt that pops up
- Wait a few seconds, a new window pops up
- Click “use another account or sign up” in purple at the bottom
- Type in your NEW Microsoft username (was sent via email) (Contact

- Click Enter
- Select “Work or school account”
- Select “Work or school account” again
- Enter your new password (was sent via text) (Contact

- Click “sign in”
- At this point, you will have to use Microsoft Authenticator to enable 2-factor authentication
- Download Microsoft Authenticator* on your phone (if you don’t already have it).
- Make sure notifications are “enabled” for the app
- *You can also try to use an alternative authenticator (i.e. Google) if you already have it downloaded.
- Once the authenticator app is open, click the plus (+) in the top right corner
- Select “work or school account”
- Go back to your computer; click “next”
- Since you’ve already downloaded the authenticator app, click “next”
- In this window, click next
- On your mobile device, click “scan QR code”
- Scan the QR code on your computer
- Click “next” on your computer
- On your phone, you’ll get a prompt “Approve sign-in?”
- Click “Approve”
- a message will pop up at the top of the authenticator app that says “approved”
- Back on your computer, click “next”
- Click “done”
- Click “ok”
- It will take a second to load; then click “done”
- This should take you into your NEW Teams
- Once you’re in your new Teams
- Go to your Chat
- Search at the top for “Ashley Lewis”
- Click “Ashley.Lewis”
- Send a message saying “I’ve made it into the NEW Teams!”

Office 365 License Updating
If you use Office on your Desktop/Laptop (not the web app)*
- Open the desktop version of Outlook (or whatever Microsoft program you use on your computer)
- Click File
- Click “Office Account” in the bottom left
- select “change license” in the top right under your Microsoft product information
- a new window pops up
- select “use a different account” under your onmicrosoft email
- Click “Sign In”
- Put in your NEW username (was sent via email) (Contact

- Click “enter”
- Click “work or school account”
- If prompted; put in your NEW password (was sent via text) (Contact

- Click Enter
- Click Next
- Go to File
- Go to Office account in the bottom left
- Click “Switch Account”
- Select your “onmicrosoft account”
- Verify your name changed to your onmicrosoft account
- Click “sign out”
- Close Outlook
- Reopen Outlook
- Your Privacy matters window pops up
- Click close
- If a master hierarchy pop-up appears, click cancel
- Verify that your License Email under Product Information is your NEW email
- Take a screenshot to show that your office 365 account has now changed to your NEW email

- Screenshot by searching for “snipping tool”, open the tool, click new, ctrl+c to copy, ctrl+v to paste in teams (command for apple devices)
If you use Office only through the Web Apps
IF you don’t use any of these programs on your computer and are only accessing them on the web Contact Ashley Lewis for issues and let her know, you don’t have to follow the steps above, you will just need to log into
