Talent Development includes Recruiting, Training, Developing AMs to GMs, to DMs, and above, and the creation of materials that assist in these goals.
Recruiting
What do the Field Recruiting Specialists do?
Field Recruiters do:
- Contact Applicants
- Coordinate interviews with applicant and GM
- Help stores with interviews (if needed)
- Ensure applicant has proper documentation prior to interview
- Remind applicant and GM about impending interview
- Track progress of applicant through hiring process
- Solve and remove any roadblocks for applicant through Hiring Process
- Help stores with Onboarding (if needed)
- Attend Local (in person and virtual) Job Fairs
- In store recruiting (in person)
- Pass out flyers to local businesses and organizations
- Help train SMs, AMs and New GMs on SmartRecruiters, Interviewing & Onboarding
- Setup & Maintain Recruiting Stations in all Regional Stores
- Work with DM's to transfer applicants to stores with critical staffing shortages
- Identifying and solving any other employee recruiting and retention issue that arises
- Assist short staffed stores through critical periods when discovered during visit
- Display promotional recruiting material in stores
- Recruit at local businesses and organizations
- Conduct Store Recruiting & Readiness Assessments monthly
- Teach virtual Recruiting related classes
- Present at GM Rallys
- Develop and use any needed resource to achieve and maintain 74% total staffing in 2022
Field Recruiters do NOT:
- Decide who works in any given store
- Make any decisions about store schedules
- Manage any shifts or stores
- Resolve applicant ownership dispute between stores
- Make final decision on Job Fair attendance
- Maintain store supply of recruiting materials
- Schedule new hire training at stores
